This stuff depresses me. I have food issues, but when I look it straight in the eye like that, it is frightening. Hell, children are starving in Niger, and we entertain ourselves by watching our struggles with plenty. Nevertheless, I'm facinated....

I'd heard about this show coming on, and wondered what people would think about it. I've never thought of the "funny side" of an eating disorder. And yet, there's the funny side of death/dying, the funny side of Alzheimers, the funny side of, well, I guess everything! And maybe showing the humor in this will open some eyes in a more realistic way than all the dire seriousness.

We all do have a complex relationship with food--it can be healer, friend, enemy, consoler and all that plays into how we feel about our bodies and ourselves. We are what we eat, or don't eat?
